During the latter part of 2007,
ITN was issued a VSAT operator's license from the Namibian Communications
Commission. This has heralded a new era in Namibian communications,
where a private wholly-owned Namibian company has been afforded the
opportunity to offer a variety of Internet solutions to our customers.
VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal)
allows for various smaller remote sites to be
commissioned with Internet. Generally, VSAT terminals do not exceed 3m in diameter with the more
popular dish size being between 75cm and 1.2m in diameter, although
it is no longer uncommon to see dish sizes varying up to 3m.

With VSAT as part of our product offering, ITN has the ability to provide Internet
redundancy to our customers.
Furthermore, this same license has afforded ITN the opportunity to erect the
first privately owned Earth Station in Windhoek. This has essentially turned
ITN into an international company with a PoP (Point of Presence)
in Atlanta, Georgia in the United States.
